DO YOU HAVE ANY FORMAL TRAINING?
Yes, I studied journalism with a concentration in photojournalism at Eastern Illinois University. I graduated in 2010, but I've been working in the photography industry since 2006.
CAN WE MEET WITH YOU?
I would love to get to know you and hear all about your wedding! My home studio is on the east side of Evansville, and I’d love to have you over so we can chat! (If you’re far away, we can totally skype.)
DO YOU HAVE AN ASSISTANT PHOTOGRAPHER SHOOT WITH YOU?
My top two wedding collections include a second shooter.
WHEN WILL WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?
Your images will be available for viewing 3-4 weeks following your wedding day.
DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?
Absolutely! I design albums that tell the complete story of your wedding day. You choose the images you would like to include, suggest design revisions and approve the final design.
WHERE CAN WE SEE MORE OF YOUR PORTFOLIO?
All my most recent work is on Instagram and my blog.
DO YOU EDIT ALL THE PHOTOS WE ORDER?
Yes, for all images that go into your album and any other images that you order, I edit each image individually to make sure the color and lighting are true to my style.
WHAT CAN’T WE DO WITH THE DIGITAL FILES?
You can’t make significant changes to the images I give you. You cannot sell or distribute the images.
DO YOU HELP US PLAN OUT THE WEDDING DAY SCHEDULE?
Of course! In order to make sure the wedding day runs smoothly, I send you a timeline builder to fill out. We discuss it and make sure there is an appropriate amount of time allotted time for all the shots you want.
DO YOU SUGGEST A FIRST LOOK ON THE WEDDING DAY?
I love it when my couples choose to do a first look! Although this isn’t the only option, this allows your day to be more relaxing and gives you more time to enjoy your family and friends at your awesome reception!
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS/SHOOTS?
WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL COSTS?
Yes, I do travel! I love shooting in new locations. Please contact me with more details so that I may create a custom travel proposal for your event.
HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE?
In order to reserve your date, you pay ⅓ of your collection total as a non refundable retainer of services.
DO YOU REQUIRE A SHOT LIST BEFORE THE WEDDING?
No, my job is to photograph every detail I see at your wedding, and I personally feel a list takes away from the creative process. I do, however, like to go over the list of family formals and any special details with you in advance. I love sharing a Pinterest board so that we are both on the same page about your vision!
WHAT IS YOUR RATE FOR OVERTIME HOURS?
My overtime rate is $500/hour.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO A PHOTOSHOOT?
Pick a couple outfits you’re comfortable wearing! Complementary colors, solids, and simple patterns are all good. Things to avoid: bright white shirts (ivory and cream photograph much better) and exact matching outfits. Variety is good!
