Whitney and Matt | Portland, Oregon Engagement Session

When you think of the kind of man you want to marry your best friend you can't get any better than Matt. He values Whitney, he's up for anything and he jives with her sense of humor in the most fun way. Whitney and I were roommates in college and have been close since then. I adore her. She's funny, giving and loves with her whole heart. 

I remember vividly when they started dating and how excited I was to meet the bearded man my best friend couldn't stop talking about. It was obvious early on they were something special. She lights up when she's with Matt, in a way that warms your heart. These two are better together, which made it easy to tell they were meant to be together. 

They chose to have their engaged pictures taken in Portland Oregon because of Whitney's deep obsession with the mountains and snow. However when you book your session in September it's a down right miracle when it's snowing. Mt. Hood didn't disappoint, sprinkling these two with fresh flurries! We headed to the Hoyt Arboretum for sunset and I'm obsessed with how the images turned out. I can't wait for their wedding! 

Whitney and Matt, thank you for choosing me to photograph such a fun time in your life. Thanks for always being up for an adventure and for your friendship. Whitney, I can't wait to stand next to you in January while you marry your best friend. (I've been praying for snow.)
